Backlight bleeding on your new monitor?? Try this!


Make sure you are not using VGA connection. Use DVI or HDMI and most of the bleeding and image issues will disappear.

My new Asus MX279H had a bit of backlight bleeding when using the analogue VGA port. Once I switched to HDMI all gone! No bleeding at all!
Unbelievable.

  1. This is a really good tip. I just think that HDMI is so much better in general. For my PS3 I switched to an HDMI and I think the picture is better, I can't say exactly how but more crisp and sharp. I'm not going back, especially as HDMI cables are so cheap.
