New Star Trek TV Series with new ship and name announced!
Star Trek Discovery will premiere in January 2017.
Show will be created by Bryan Fuller and Alex Kurtzman for CBS All Access
Ship will be designed around an early sketch for the 1970's series that never took place by the late great Ralph McQuarrie who also imagined the spaceships and planets of Star Wars under the direction of George Lucas.
This series will be a totally new affair with no affinity to the current rebooted movie franchise, and will see new characters and new situations based around the prime directives of the Star Trek lore.
Also unlike earlier series this venture will see the new ship make routine journeys beyond the Milky Way to neighboring galaxies and cosmic phenomenon.
The show "will be told like a novel," Fuller told the audience at Comic-Con 2016, describing a season-long story "chapter by chapter." He noted that the Star Trek franchise already had more than 700 episodes, and that Discovery would not be "episodic."
Visual Effects will be mainly CGI with a few practical elements.

Knight Rider- The Complete Series coming to Blu Ray!
Oh Joy! My No. 1 TV show of all time- Knight Rider (the 80's version) is finally coming to Blu Ray from Mill Creek Entertainment. Hope they do a better job of the transfer than their Airwolf blu ray set.
Knight Rider has been available in Blu Ray format in Japan for some time now, at a very much higher price -close to $400. However that was released by a different studio so I assume this transfer will be an all new affair hopefully at higher bit-rate and quality. This set will be Region A and priced at $99 :)
It is already available for pre-order from Amazon. Release Date- Oct 4 2016.

Radeon RX 480 Performance Benchmarks with 16.7.1 driver!
"With the new AMD Radeon 16.7.1 driver freshly released I understand that
there is concern among you guys that the power distribution fix might
have done something that makes the Radeon RX 480 throttle or downclock
e.g. have a negative effect on performance. Hence I ran some benchmarks."

Obama Exposed as a Muslim! Photos!!
The photos of President Obama taken in the 1990's prove that he is Muslim at heart and hence sympathetic to the Muslim and Terrorist cause! Reasons why he has taken a liberal stance against terrorism to the point of putting the USA at complete risk to Muslim attack.

UFC 200: Jon Jones bout removed after 'anti-doping violation'
Mixed Martial Arts star Jon Jones has been dropped from the headline bout of UFC 200 after a "potential anti-doping violation," the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has said.
Jones, 28, was due to fight Daniel Cormier for the light-heavyweight title in Las Vegas Saturday.
"The
UFC organization was notified tonight that the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency
(USADA) has informed Jon Jones of a potential Anti-Doping Policy
violation stemming from an out-of-competition sample collection on June
16, 2016," said a UFC statement released late Wednesday.
While
noting that Jones has the right to "a full fair legal review," the
statement added it would not be possible to conclude that process before
Saturday's big event.
As a
result, the fight has been removed from the card. The three-round
heavyweight matchup between Brock Lesnar and Mark Hunt will now become
the main event at UFC 200, one of the biggest promotions in the sport's
history.

Fix for excess PCI-E slot power draw for AMD RX 480 graphics cards!
Firstly: This fix is by no means an official one and you will be using it at your own risk. If you for any reason manage to fry your card while using it, you are not entitled to make any claims for warranty exchange (RMA).
As soon as the bios flashing software supporting Ellesmere becomes available, I'll be releasing a modified bios which makes the necessary changes automatically.
The procedure is rather simple, and can be done on any software which supports I2C control on Radeon graphics. Personally I recommend MSI Afterburner for the job.
- Download and install the newest MSI Afterburner
- Go to the installation folder of MSI Afterburner (where the MSIAfterburner.exe is located) and open a new command window ("Left Shift + Right Mouse Click" when no file is selected)
- Additional step: Verify that the I2C interface to the VRM controller is working by typing following command: "MSIAfterburner /ri06,08,0D" (without the quotes). If the response is ": 20" or ":44" you're good to go.
- The two commands you need to input are following: "MSIAfterburner /wi06,08,1E,BB" and "MSIAfterburner /wi06,08,1F,B0".
Once you have given these commands the power draw from the PCI-E slot has reduced and moved towards the PCI-E power connector. The recommended programming value is "B" (/wi06,08,1E,BB and /wi06,08,1F,B0), however you can go set it to anywhere between "B" and "F". Higher the value, more of the power draw will be directed to the PCI-E power connector.
Do note that this fix must be re-applied after every reboot.
EDIT: Added the I2C response for IR3567B controller (0x44).
IR3567A = 0x20.
The fix applies for both!

AMD RX480 4gb graphics card has 8gb with half of it disabled! Enabling 8GB possible with BIOS hack!
Earlier this week, we heard reports of some early adopters of the 4 GB
variant of AMD Radeon RX 480 claiming that their cards shipped with 8 GB
of memory physically present on their cards, but their graphics card
BIOS somehow prevented the GPU from addressing more than 4 GB of it. In
its Reddit AMA, the company presented a vague answer to the question of
whether such 4 GB cards are moddable to 8 GB by flashing it with the
BIOS of the 8 GB variant, by stating that the ability to mod is
restricted to review samples. This is both true and false. Short answer:
retail 4 GB RX 480 can be flashed to 8 GB, and the modified card
perfoms on par with the 8 GB variant.
AMD sent out review samples of the 8 GB variant, and to enable reviews to also put up reviews of the 4 GB variant, it sent a special BIOS that converts the 8 GB card to 4 GB, by reducing its address-space and memory clocks, perfectly simulating the 4 GB variant. AMD's claims of 4 GB cards with 8 GB physical memory being restricted to review samples was proven false when early adopters of retail 4 GB cards discovered eight Samsung 8 Gbit memory chips on their card amounting to 8 GB. We currently have an AIB partner-branded retail 4 GB Radeon RX 480 card which we bought online (invoice posted), and which we're using to prepare our 4 GB RX 480 review. We first discovered that our 4 GB retail card had the same exact Samsung 8x 8 Gb chips (including the same bin, specc'd for 8 Gbps) as the 8 GB card. We flashed this card with the 8 GB card's BIOS, and were successful in doing so. The trick here is to extract the BIOS of the 8 GB card with ATIFlash 2.74 and then transplanting that BIOS onto the 4 GB card. The 8 GB card BIOS image which we used, can be found here. Use at your own risk.
To confirm that this mod works, we first tested our 8 GB review sample with its untouched 8 GB BIOS, and used that as control. Next, we tested the retail 4 GB card with the BIOS it shipped with. Lastly, we flashed this 4 GB card using ATIFlash with the 8 GB BIOS, which we extracted from our 8 GB card using ATIFlash. We ran "Call of Duty: Black Ops III," on the three. This game can consume dedicated video memory beyond 4 GB at 4K Ultra HD (3840 x 2160).
The 8 GB control and the modified 4 GB to 8 GB card performed on-par with each other. The 8 GB control card produced 24.6 fps, the 4 GB to 8 GB modified card produced 24.7 fps. The 4 GB card with its original retail BIOS produced 23.3 fps. To make sure that each GPU runs at a predictable GPU frequency (usually thermal and power limit reduces clocks), we've set both fan and power target to maximum, which results in a constant frequency of 1266 MHz on both cards.

Also,
to prove that the game-test (COD: Black Ops III) was able to consume
more than 4 GB of video memory on the modified card, as it does on our 8
GB control card, we observed the "Memory Usage (dedicated)" graph of
GPU-Z. The modified card was indeed able to address >4 GB of video
memory on the card, just as it does on the 8 GB card.
In conclusion, flashing the reference 4 GB Radeon RX 480 to 8 GB works, if you're sure your card has 8 GB of memory physically present. Sadly the only way to know for sure is disassembling your card, which will definitely break some seals and void your warranty. You also need to be sure how to use ATIFlash correctly.

AMD RX480 4gb graphics card has 8gb with half of it disabled! Enabling 8GB possible with BIOS hack!
The first Radeon RX 480 GPUs with 4GB of memory, have sometimes 8GB of RAM on board where half is turned off. Thus discovered some tweakers. In theory it is possible to activate the additional memory by flashing the bios.
Because
you still need eight chips for 4GB. The memory of this card include
256-bit, or rather, eight 32-bit memory controllers. The moment you will
put only four chips on the PCB will halve the memory bandwidth because
you have only a 128 bit memory bus (4 times 32 bit).
A 128-bit memory bus, however, half the memory bandwidth is far too little for a quick card like this, which also pieces will perform worse and the worst circumstances, which have only 50% of the performance, which is not to do so.
So what you need are still eight memory chips, but with half the capacity so that you come to a total of 4GB. AMD had in his own words, however, too little time or wanted to spend money, to certify an additional card. So the first RX 480 with 4GB versions have just 8GB. All these maps of the different cards also come from AMD with only a sticker of a XFX, Sapphire, MSI, Asus, Gigabyte, etc. stuck on.
At the time manufacturers such as XFX, Sapphire, Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, etc their own card designs and sell them there just stick 4GB memory. Or: eight 4Gb (small b-bit) memory. So grab your chance now can !.

Best Car Commercial I have ever seen! Audi R8.
One of the best ads I have ever seen. Very appropriate- Audi is German and the US went to the Moon thanks to all the German rocket scientists they captured from Peenemunde at the end of WW2, most notable of them being Wernher Von Braun who designed the Saturn V which sent the Americans to the Moon.
