Some people say VA panels are better, others IPS. Best to go somewhere an see them side to
side. Even that is not reliable if one monitor is calibrated worse than
the other.
I have an IPS monitor- Asus MX279H. Colors are great, viewing angles
fantastic- everything's sharp and looks good even tho its 1080p on a 27
inch. Games look and play great- even really fast shooters like Quake
III play well without any problems with response time or input lag. (If
you can play QIII without any problems u can play anything ;) ).
But it does have lots if IPS glow and a bit of BLB especially when
viewed up close on a black screen. But when watching movies or gaming or
working it has never caused a distraction or even become noticed.
Go figure.
